ABOUT US

Healthy Communities Partnership of Greater Franklin County (HCP) began in 1993 when the Franklin County Health Care Consortium was founded by a passionate group of community leaders concerned about the overall health in Franklin County.

HCP is comprised of representatives from health-care, human service agencies, government, education, faith, and business communities.

If you value a united effort to raising our quality of life and are committed to supporting this cause, you can become a partner. HCP is always looking for passionate people who want to make our community better for everyone.

LEADERSHIP
FRANKLIN COUNTY

LFC Community is the flagship leadership program founded in 1985.  The mission of LFC Community: “Developing an inclusive continuum of civic leaders engaged in the advancement of the quality of life in Franklin County.” Participants undergo a nine-month course where they learn about leadership and their community.

The course begins in September with a two-day mandatory team-building retreat and includes monthly sessions, on the second Wednesday during the workday, from October through April.

Students also work on a project with a local nonprofit during the course, separate from the monthly sessions. All students will present the results of their team project at the graduation ceremony in May. Students can expect to receive leadership training, learn how to maximize work in teams, and expand their knowledge of key areas of Franklin County.

On May 8, 2024, HCP employee, Kira Coy graduated from the LFC program with 20 other adults from various businesses and agencies in the Franklin County area. Other graduates included Carolyn Clouser, a new board member with HCP. Stephanie Strickler, also an HCP board member, served as the mentor for the team “Petaling Daisies”.

Congratulations to Kira and her Petaling Daisies Team and all the other 2024 LFC graduates.
